28:1 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay ...
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
So thankful today for Jesus, who lived the righteous life that I could never live and who suffered and died for my offenses against God so that I might be forgiven and have a relationship with the Most High God. May our thankfulness cause us to cling to our Savior, worship Him with every part of our lives, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, go out and make disciples of all nations!
We have been reading about Christ's death and resurrection from Hudson's Bible for the past few weeks getting ready for Easter, but on Friday night it had been a long, fun-filled day so I was planning to put Hudson to bed without reading. We were almost to his bed and he pointed to his bookcase and asked "Bible?". I asked him "Do you want to read about Jesus before bed?". "Yes, Jesus" was his reply. So sweet ... my cup runneth over!Hudson had SO much fun this Easter weekend. His grandma and grandpa came to town and we colored Easter eggs, made Jello jigglers and a bunny cake, flew his first kite, played at the park, and of course hunted eggs over and over and over :) We just kept telling Ryder that next year would be his year, but he seemed to have a good time watching his big brother this year.
Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
