Big Brother

Fifiteen Months

Hudson had his 15 month check-up today. He has grown 11 1/2 inches and gained 16 pounds total since he was born. He is in the 60th percentile for height and 25th for weight. I know it's shocking that he is tall and slim :) He also has 14 teeth now, including 3 molars.

He is talking a lot more lately too. Although most of it is in his own little language, he can definitely tell you when he sees a ball or a car. He even dreams about them. We heard him say ball in his sleep the other day. He also says blue, balloon, bear, bug, daddy, mama (sometimes), shoe, and a few others. When we ask where his baby brother is, he almost always points his mom's belly, but occasionally he points to his own belly :)


Here's a video of Hudson playing in his new pool. He needs a little brother so he'll have someone to splash with!





Hudson and Zoe have become best buds. He lets Zoe kiss his hands and toes and even his face (which makes his mom cringe), and Zoe will eat anything Hudson gives her even dried up cabbage as seen below.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the 'Mommies'. Hudson called me "Mama" for the first time today ... can't think of a sweeter Mother's Day gift.

Thought I would share some Hudson videos today since we can't be with family this weekend. Hopefully seeing the videos will be a close second :)

Lots of swimming videos. Hudson has lessons every Saturday morning, but I think they are meant mostly to train us parents on how to introduce swimming to the kids.







Hudson's friend, Chase, is also in his swimming class.

April 2010

Our family had a very busy April. We sold our first house and moved into a rental house in the mountains east of Abq. Hudson seems to be liking our new house and enjoying playing outside in the peace and quiet. Thanks to all our family and friends that helped us move. We couldn't have done it without you.

Spring Cleaning



Just kidding. I don't really make my one year old clean ... yet. But, he really does love the broom, swiffer and vacuum. I'm sure that will change before he is old enough to really use them :)



We moved the weekend of Easter, so I didn't get to snap any photos of Hudson that Sunday ... but a few days later counts right?

This picture was taken yesterday, April 22nd. Yes, it is still snowing in April. Will spring ever really come this year? I'm SO ready.

And we tried to get a video of all the new words he is saying, but for some reason he hardly ever says them while the video camera is rolling. But, we did manage to get him saying 'ball' and 'car' which he says far more than any other words ... all boy!

One Year Old

Here are some pictures from Hudson's 1st birthday party. Thanks to all the friends and family that came to celebrate with us.













Oh, and now Hudson can not only walk, but kick the ball and hit the ball with the bat while walking :) Something new everyday.

Big Boy Now

Hudson is getting so big and learning so many new things.

This morning he wanted to feed himself yogurt. He did well for the first time.



He started walking on Valentine's Day, and now he can go pretty much anywhere.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, & The New Year

It's been way too long since I've updated our blog. Hudson is growing like crazy. We had a great holiday season. Can't believe that it's already 2010.

Hudson is crawling everywhere FAST, but no walking yet. He pulls up on everything and can even get off the couch all by himself. We think he'll be walking any day now, but I guess it will happen whenever he decides :)






I think he looks like his Dee in this picture.


He hair is getting longer and crazier. Think it's time for his first hair cut. And he actually has six teeth now. Four on top and two on bottom.

And Now We're Mobile

Hudson is officially mobile. He has been rolling and scooting across the living room for a while now, but this past week he has gotten a lot better at crawling. He can get across the room pretty quickly. Let the baby proofing begin.

Hudson and Landon had fun swimming and playing with their cousins in Roswell. Christmas is going to be crazy when these two are running around together!



It was balloon fiesta week in ABQ. We didn't make it to the park to see the balloons, but one landed/crashed in the park outside our window. Everyone was ok ... I think. Too bad Hudson slept through the whole thing.



Hudson's favorite way to sleep. It doesn't look very comfortable to me, but he loves it.



If you look closely (click to enlarge), you can see his first little tooth peeking through on the bottom gum.



Poor kid. His mom likes to dress him up and take photos. I can't resist. He's too cute and fun.











Mia and D came to visit this weekend. We played outside and went shopping and had a great time. Mia caught this cute smile.

Fair Time

We traveled to Lovington last week to visit family and friends and watch Uncle Clay rope. Hudson got to see all of his cousins and his friend Kobe. Here are a few random pictures from our visit.

Shelly & Kobe were in town from Tyler. I hadn't seen Kobe since he was about 7 months old. Such a sweet, smiley boy!

Hudson really loved his cousin Peggy. He gave her all kinds of smiles and laughs.

Landon is two months younger than Hudson, but they are almost the same size. Landon may even be a bit bigger. Cute healthy boys!
