Fall & Thanksgiving Fun 2013

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! Ps 95:2

We are so thankful … everyday for God's grace, for his healing hand on Dad's surgery, and for all the fun we've had our little guys over the past few months … just to name a few.

We were able to visit the Ft. Worth Zoo this fall and it was the perfect time.  All the animals were playing.  We heard the lion roar several times and saw the cutest baby elephants.

We also took the boys to Medieval Times.  We had so much fun cheering for our green knight.

What a neat fountain and music in downtown Ft. Worth.  We decided that someone needs to build one of these close to where we live.  It was so fun and relaxing.

Off To The Races

Crosby's crawling now and we're so excited ... and scared.  His brothers run in terror to protect their toys and books because he is a little tornado destroying everything in his path ;)

Sweet video of Hudson feeding Crosby

I asked Hudson who he was going to marry when he grows up.  He says "a sweet girl with a sweet heart that loves Jesus."

Last night before bed, Hudson asked if he could marry me when he grows up.  Melts my heart.  And Ryder has such a loving nature.  He always gets up from the dinner table to give everyone kisses on the arm or hands and he is the master of compliments.  "I like your eyes, Daddy.  I like your hair, Mommy.  I like your shirt, Brother" ;)  And unless he is hungry or teething, Crosby is the smiliest, most excited baby ever.  We have some hard, chaotic days sometimes, but we love this stage.  We're trying to savor the moments because we know they are changing each day.  So Blessed!

Blessed are the people to who such blessings fall!
Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!

Growing like weeds

Here are a few pictures taken just after Crosby was born ...

And then I blinked and he grew and changed and looks and acts like such a big boy.

Crosby was 16.5 lbs at his 4 month appointment

And like his big brother, Ryder, he is a big fan of eating!

Hudson and Ryder on their last day of Mother's Day Out before summer break.  Hudson loves learning and school and meeting other kids.  Ryder is still warming up to the idea, but he's getting there.  They both know how to write their letters and Hudson can write several words and his name with no help from Mommy.  Darren gave Hudson a little calculator and he loves learning about addition.  He picks two (small) numbers and we figure out what the total should be on paper and then he checks the answer on his calculator of course ;)  Ryder loves music and cars.  He has memorized every word to all the praise songs on his bedtime CD and many of the songs we listen to on K-LOVE.  He can recognize many songs by the first few notes and tells me to turn it up because he wants to sing along!

Mia, DanDan, Clay, Cigi and MaMa all came over to visit us in Midland on Father's Day weekend.  Cigi and Mia painted a baseball on Hudson & Ryder's bedroom wall, while DanDan, Clay and Darren worked on our backyard sprinkler system.  And Crosby loved spending time with his great-grandma!
