Sweet Potatoes

Hudson was 15 pounds 2 ounces and 26 inches long at his 4 month appointment last week. While he is only in the 50th percentile for weight, he is a very hungry boy, so our pediatrician suggested that we start him on baby food. First up, sweet potatoes. He is getting better at eating from a spoon every day, but we still manage to get it everywhere.

He also went through this phase of sticking out his tongue all the time for about a week. It was so funny. He would stick it out so far for minutes at a time. I always wonder what is going through that little head.

He loves his seahorse. It sings lullabies and glows when you squeeze him. Today he woke up during his nap, grabbed the seahorse and then went back to sleep. I'm pretty sure it was an accident, but I was impressed.

He likes to grab his feet and all the hanging toys at the same time.

Hanging out with my buddies, Avery & Baby Chase.

Back to Work

I just realized as I sat down to create this post that it is the first time that I've updated the blog since going back to work part-time :( But don't you worry, we're still taking lots and lots of pictures of Hudson. It actually hasn't been too hard to go back to work considering that it is only two days a week at work and one from home, but I still miss my little guy! Hudson is staying with our good friend Carrie, who also has a little one that is four months older than Hudson. She'll be able to show him the ropes in no time. It's been a huge blessing that he is able to stay with someone that we know and trust!

Here are a few pics of Hudson with Nellie (Carrie's little girl).

Looks like they are going to hold hands :)

And here is the whole crew at Avery's birthday party.

(Sienna, Avery, Nellie, Cruz, & Hudson)

And another cute pic that Carrie took.

We went to Lovington a few weekends ago and were able to meet Hudson's new 2nd? cousin Landon and go to Janae's birthday party. Peggy took some great pictures of Hudson and Landon sitting on MaMa's (my grandmother) lap.

Landon is almost two months younger than Hudson, but he is catching him fast.

Uncle Clay came to visit and help out with Hudson while I was at work this past Monday. What a sweet uncle!

He hasn't rolled over yet ... or even acted like he might think about rolling over, but at least he doesn't cry instantly when I put him on his stomach anymore.

Hudson's latest discovery is that he can grab his feet and put them in his mouth pretty much anytime he wants. Oh to be that flexible again!

The video below is from Darren's phone so the resolution is pretty bad, but you can sort of see the little wiggle worm in action.
